Applications for the Harbin Summer Program are due online by January 15.  All applicants will automatically be considered for all available scholarships.

Before filling out your application form, you are required to first read carefully our Harbin Program guide, available here.

Once you have read that, you can find the online application form.

As part of your application, you must provide one recommendation, through our online recommendation form.  Ordinarily, if you have taken any Chinese classes before, this recommendation should be provided by your most recent Chinese instructor.  Those who have not taken a Chinese class before should provide a reference from another university instructor.  Personal references are not accepted.

Decisions about admissions to the program will be announced by February 1.  At that time, all required forms will be distributed to students; all of these forms must be filled in and returned to the department by March 1.  Also at that time, you will be provided with a link to pay your required $300 fee (plus 4% service charge) online.  Those who do not turn in all their forms and fees by March 1 will not be allowed to join the program.
